There could be one of several reasons why the washer will not spin. It could have a brake failure, spin bearing issue, tub seal, worn belt, motor cradle, or possible a main bearing failure. This is not the easiest washer to work on. It will require a service technician with the experience and knowledge to properly diagnose and repair this Maytag washer. You may want to remove the front panel and manually rotate the transmission pulley in the spin directions and see if there is a lot of friction. If it's hard to turn then I highly recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your Maytag washer.
