Q:

What could cause my Maytag washer to not spin?

A:

I going to assume that the motor is running during the spin cycle and it pumps the water out too. The brake may not be releasing or there may be a severe friction problem causing the basket to not spin. It could have a spin bearing failure causing the basket to seize and not spin. It could also be related to a worn drive belt too. It may be a combination of failures causing no spinning action.

A technician will be needed to diagnose and repair this type of symptom. I recommend calling a service technician.
