Q:

Wheel Weights u1110, u1111, 26234, 24434

A:

When looking for the correct part for an appliance I know how useful it can be to receive some useful tips and I will be happy to help. While you are waiting for your expert answer, I suggest you add to the thread of this question and include the full model number of your appliance so that the expert can provide you with a more detailed answer. I did manage to find a link in where you can enter your appliance model number and a parts list diagram will pop up. I am also adding a second link in where you can also enter your appliance model number and the owners manual will pop up. I hope my links are useful.

Basically the wheel weights come in 2 sizes; small and large. They come in 2 types as well; bolt on and quick-attach.

The smaller ones fit tractor wheels that are 9.5inches in diameter and the larger ones work for tractors with 12 inch wheels.

For your specific tractor, I do not know. We have very limited information on John Deere products.

Thank you for using Manage My Life!

thanks the sears rep started this thread and I did tell him on the phone my wheel diameters were 8" in the rear and 6" in the front . they have weights in this size for the older models but the prices are silly since they are "vintage" John Deere parts . Thanks again

Don, the smaller ones we have might would work. But when we're talking about money, I don't like "might". I like "for sure" better. I have attached a link to the wheel weight manufacturer directly. they have a weight that will cover 8-10 inch wheels. so this may be something you can use and won't cost you and arm/leg to get. You cannot buy direct from the manufacturer but you can likely find them from a retailer or search the web for that weight number (U1624). good luck with this and if I can do anything else to assist just let me know.

If the trans light is coming on you need to get the codes out of it in order to proceed with any kind of diagnosis. You can stop by your local ASE certified repair facility and they will be able to help.

Q:

I have a John Deere L100. When I engage the deck, the blades turn a second or two and then the engine stops. Why?

A:

The problem will be in the wiring between the safety switches on the deck engagement lever, the brake/clutch arm, and the seat switch.

You might have pinched a wire with the new engine when installing it. One of the safety switches might have failed. Someone needs to test the safety circuit with an ohm meter.
