Thanks for the helpful reply. The electrical brd . does not seem to be the answer. The unit is now giving off a loud high pitch scream. It produced ice for two days and then started with this loud noise. I can not determine what area is giving off the noise. The only way to stop it is to pull the plug. Any one with any thoughts? Jim, I am sorry to hear that the control board did not fix the problem. The scream that you are hearing from the ice maker is most likely due to the velocity of water coming out of the water valve. It looks like the manufacturer has added a restrictor tube for the fill tube which will the velocity. Once the velocity has been changed the noise will stop.
