Question and Answers

Q:

Where does the insulation pad that was packaged inside my dishwasher model KUDS50FVPA0 go?

A:

It sounds like you are describing a sound insulation pad that should be draped on top and down the sides of the dishwasher tub. You will likely need to shut off the breaker for the dishwasher and remove the mounting bracket screws under the counter then carefully pull the dishwasher out from under the counter. Drape the insulation pad over the top of the dishwasher and then carefully push it back under the counter and replace the screws in the mounting brackets.

If your pad is different than the one described above, resubmit your question with additional details (or a digital picture) and we will be glad to help you further.

A:

I have the same question as Tsu and I think that the answer from Lyle W. is not correct. I believe that the part that Lyle W. is referring to is the insulating blanket that is attached to the tub and covers the top, sides, and back of the tub. If you do a Google search for the part number W10084568 you will get a link to a SearsPartsDirect page which includes a diagram which shows the blanket which covers the tub and also shows part W10084568. As Tsu said, the installation instructions from KithenAid do not say what to do with part W10084568. The diagram from SearsPartsDirect also does not show how to use it. I called the KitchenAid help line and they also could not tell me.
