5 or 6 months ago would indicate the unit is still under warranty so my first suggestion is to call and schedule a service call to fix this problem. I suspect there is stuck or shorted keypad. The console may need to be replaced to fix this problem. If for some reason warranty service is not possible then reply with any additional details and I'll try to provide further assistance. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Q:

Kitchenaid KUDS30Ixbl0 won't complete cycle.

A:

So the solvent you used allowed the unit to run but not dry... Effective trouble solving. Since the issue is that the unit is not drying, I focused my research on that topic. What I've located is a link that will provide many different, similar situations. Review these different links and you will begin to gain a theory as to what might be your drying problem. It is also likely that you will still receive an expert response within a day or two. I hope this is helpful and have a pleasant Sunday morning.

Thanks. One other bit of information is that the hi temp scrub and cancel LED lights never turn off. At times other LED lights flicker or are dimly lit. I'm wondering if this would be an control panel or control board issue. I hate to spend the money on either unless I'm sure it will fix the problem.

Based on your description, you may need to replace the electronic control board (part W10380685) and the control panel as well. The control board and the control panel may have been damaged by steam coming through that vent assembly on the inner door panel. The vent on that dishwasher should close when the cycle starts. It should stay closed for several hours after the cycle is finished. You should not detect steam coming through that vent during the cycle or the drying process. Since you indicated that you were seeing that steam, I suspect that you have a problem with the vent system as well. Replacing the electronic control board, the control console and the vent assembly and gasket will probably fix your problem. I recommend that you have a service technician complete that repair. You can purchase a Sears Service Smart Protection Agreement that will cover this repair for parts and labor up to $500. It will also cover the dishwasher for an entire year for any other failures (up to the same $500 limit). You can call Sears at 1-800-469-4663 (1-800-4MY-HOME) to discuss the details of that service agreement or schedule service. The parts for that repair would cost about the same as the service agreement. The labor cost of that repair would probably be around $130.

If you want to fix this problem yourself, you can order the parts from this page: KitchenAid Dishwasher Model KUDS30IXBL0 Parts . Be sure that you shut off the house circuit breaker for the dishwasher before accessing internal components. Remove the screws from the inner door panel to access those components.
