I can understand your frustration over your dishwasher malfunctioning. While you are waiting for your expert answer, I did some research on the unit. Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

It sounds like the dishwasher it not filling with water after it washes and drains or the pump motor is not restarting after it completes the drain cycle.

If it fills the first time then it should fill again when the control calls for fill. The odd humming noise could be emitting from the water inlet valve when the control is calling for water. I will need additional details in order to provide any further information. I recommend removing the lower panel and determine if the odd humming sound is emitting from the water inlet solenoid valve or if it's humming from the wash motor.

NOTE: Do not touch any wires or moving parts while the lower access panel is removed.

Check the things I have covered here and if I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Still waiting for expert opinion whether it may be the thermal fuse that needs replaced or a whole control board. If control board what will the costs be?

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

If you have an extended warranty/service agreement I do not understand why the technician did not diagnose the failure and repair it. The failure is likely the thermal fuse located inside the control panel. When this thermal fuse fails the dishwasher will not power up. If the thermal fuse is faulty, the thermal fuse is part #661663 at the approximate cost of $24.00; however it could have a faulty console or control board preventing the dishwasher from powering up.

The dishwasher is not that old and parts are available. If I were you I would call and have them send a different technician back out to properly diagnose and repair your dishwasher.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.
