Question and Answers

Q:

dishwasher stops after 2 mins, new circuit board and control panel

A:

Just having something replace and it still not working correctly can be disappointing. While you are waiting on an expert to answer your question, a suggestion I have is to visit Sears Parts Direct website. I have attached the link below. Hope this helps!

Thank you for your question.

I can understand wanting to have the dishwasher working.

I do not think it is the thermal fuse because nothing would work if it was open.

  • Does the dishwasher fill with water?

  • After it stops filling look to see what the water height is in the tub. On this model there is a wash motor for the spray arms and a pump motor for the draining the water. It sounds like the drain pump is working and if it is filling with water but not washing it could be the wash motor or the wash motor circuit.

Let me know what you have found and use the thread link to give me an update.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.

It is very important to have proper instructions when you are about to install a major part on your dishwasher and the control is expensive so I hope to find a great link that will help you out. While you are waiting for an expert answer, I did manage to find a link that will provide you with more information about installing a new control panel on a dishwasher. I hope my link is useful.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern. The control panel is very easy to remove and replace. I added an image below with instructions. NOTE: Disconnect the power supply from the dishwasher before removing the control panel.

I believe you want to remove and replace the interface or control board and not the control panel. The control panel does not include the interface or the control board.

You will still need to remove the control panel in order to remove and replace the interface or control board.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
