I have provided you with an image of how the door link should be connected. The easiest way to access, the link is to uninstall the dishwasher. I have been able to replace the links by removing the dishwasher mounting screws from the counter top and sliding the dishwasher out part way. Doing it this way depends on how long the electric cord and water lines are. Once the side of the dishwasher is exposed, you should be able to follow the image below to install the new link. The part number for the link is W10158291 and can be ordered using the following link.

Door link .

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

great diagram, thank you. I will be attempting the repair this weekend. I will update my status upon completion. I purchased the kit so I plan to replace both door links when the dishwasher is out of the cabinet.
