Thank you, this is a great start! An additional question is should the volute on the motor be loose? There seems to be allot of "play" when I move it. I think that is where the leek I am trying to fix is coming from...

The impeller can be removed by following the procedure in the image I added below.

NOTE: Disconnect the power supply from the dishwasher before servicing.
