Question and Answers

Q:

kitchenaid dishwasher KUDK03CTSS3

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com. I will be more than happy to assist you. I can understand any frustration you may have experienced with regards to your unit. Let’s see what we can do for you.

The issue is probably the little lever that’s located under the float. This lever is normally red, or orange in color. The most likely cause of this failing would be that it is stuck in the open position. There could be a piece of food that’s jamming it. I would recommend removing that float cover and making sure it can move freely up and down.

Hope this information has helped you. If you are not comfortable doing this repair you can click here to schedule a technician or call toll free 1-800-469-4663. Again, thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com.

Q:

Why isn't our dishwasher cleaning our dishwasher as good?

A:

I understand how important it can be to have further information regarding your dishwasher. I am happy to help. Normally when this type of issue occurs it is due to poor water circulation. Were all of the dishes, both top and bottom rack not being cleaned like normal? Generally, this type of issue is caused by low water pressure or a clog within the pump or filter. The spinner only distributes the water so if that is not working it normally means there is a clog. I recommend checking this part first because it is easiest. Here is a video that demonstrates the replacement of the spinner in a dishwasher that should be similar to yours; Video . Always unplug or de-energize electrical equipment before removing covers or attempting service. Be careful and wear appropriate hand protection when working around sharp metal parts. The dishwasher in this video may not look exactly like yours but the procedure is basically the same.

Once you have checked this, please reply back with further details. From there I will be happy to continue assisting you.

If you do not feel comfortable with these checks, I highly recommend having a technician come out to check it. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

I hope this helps. Thank you for using Manage My Life.
