Replacing parts like an inlet valve on a dishwasher can be a good home repair project with a little help.  You will need inlet valve #W10195536 and the gasket #8531323.  Parts can be ordered at Sears Parts Direct.   The instruction below are basic for similar dishwashers.  First disconnect power to the dishwasher and turn off water valve.

  1. Remove or disconnect power to the dishwasher.
  2. Turn the water supply off under sink or main.
  3. Remove the 4 screws securing the toe panel.
  4. Remove toe panel.
  5. Disconnect the water supply line from the inlet valve.
  6. Disconnect the wire harness plug from the inlet valve.
  7. Remove the screw securing the valve to the frame
  8. Purge the water supply line before connecting it back to new inlet valve.

Reverse the procedure to reassemble and test operation.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Remove and clean the chopper blade assembly if you haven't already done so.  The OPTICAL WATER INDICATOR part #W10134017 has a built in Thermistor.  You may get by with just cleaning the optical water indicator/turbidy sensor.

The optical water indicator looks for water clarity as well as being used to monitor the water temperature in the tub as it washes.

If you select any of the options of Pot Scrub, Sani-Rinse, Hi-Temp Scrub, the cycles will run longer because it has to heat the water and reach the target temperature before the cycle will continue.

hi Joey , thanks for the answer Joe is there any way to check the resistance on this turbidity sensor or troubleshooting it somehow to see if its in working order ?? This sensor has like a small power strip coming from it and I hadn't a clue as to how to measure the resistance factor at the power strip where it connects to the sensor or what the resistance reading it is that I should be getting for that sensor. No repair sheet was with the machine to get the resistance readings ? the model # is kudc03fvss4 would you know where I can obtain a service data sheet on this model dishwasher also? any help would be appreciated.
