Q:

Freezer control does not work

A:

Outstanding description of the problem.  I can appreciate your efforts.  That damper may well be in need of attention.  It's possible that this could be a problem with the damper being broke or stuck, the sensor, or the control board.  I have located a link that will discuss your situation in more detail.
Click here to view the link.  Though this link discusses a different model number,
the mechanics are likely going to be very similar.  Keep in mind that an expert will be
responding within the next two business days if not sooner and will likely offer you more information and
instruction.  I hope this information will be helpful and have a nice day.

Thank you for your question. I understand your concern about the damper. If it does not move, it is possible the damper or control could be broken or the damper may be stuck. The control housing will need to be lowered again, to see the damper and control. Be sure to disconnect the power first. Now, turn the control and watch to see what is taking place with the damper. The damper can be adjusted if needed by using hot water or a heat gun. Heat approximately 8 inches of the damper linkage strip starting from the damper end. Bow & train the linkage upward or downward. Be careful, overheating will deform & damage the linkage. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.
