I understand how these recurring symptoms would cause concern.

The lights staying on along with the other issues do seem to point to a short in the electrical system. It may be relegated to the light socket but I highly recommend having a technician visit to run the necessary tests and repairs to correct this situation. Shorts in wiring can be difficult to find and unless you have the tools and are comfortable making these kinds of tests, a technician is needed. You can schedule a Sears technician here; Sears Home Services .

Thank you for using Manage My Life.

I provided a wiring schematic in the first image below. The second image shows some technical information and a diagnostic test routine that you can use to check that condenser fan. The third image shows the detailed wiring diagram with harness connections. This information may help you diagnose and repair that condenser fan failure. NOTE: Follow electrical safety guidelines when using this data. Unplug the refrigerator before accessing internal components. Wear electrical safety gloves and safety goggles if you make any live voltage checks. Unplug the refrigerator as soon as live testing is completed .

If you need parts, you can order them from this page: KitchenAid Refrigerator KSSC42QMS02 Parts . Unplug the refrigerator before accessing and replacing internal components.

If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will assist you further.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services .
