Question and Answers

Q:

my refrigerator side not cold KSRY25CVMS01 Kitchenaid Side-by-side refrigerator

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

I am sorry to hear of the issue you're having with the refrigerator warming. I know how frustrating that is.

This sounds like an issue with the defrost system on the refrigerator. It has probably frozen the vent leading into the refrigerator with ice, which is why it's not allowing chilled air in.

It may need a defrost thermostat (part 2321799), a heater (part 2323198), or an electronic control (part 8201672). Without testing the parts with a meter, you won't know for sure which is at fault. We would recommend having a service technician help assist with the diagnosis, unless you have experience testing these types of parts.

If you would feel more confident have a Sears Home Service technician help assist with the diagnosis/repair, you can call 1-800-469-4663, or click here to be directed to the page to set up service.

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Check voltage between L and N to be sure you have 120 volts to the icemaker. If you have the voltage, the motor or the heater is open.
