Question and Answers

Q:

How to replace door closer cam kit on freezer door. Ice and water thru door. KSRS25QAWH10 Kitchenaid Refrigerator

A:

Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com. I regret to hear that you are having issues with your fridge and do understand your frustration. Glad to help out. Im looking at your model number KSRS25QAWH10  and with the door closed stack a couple of 2X4 blocks & shims under the door bottom to hold the weight of the door up & about 1/4 inch above the door hinge pin. Either have someone hold the door up against the refrigerator or tape the door closed at the bottom right & left. Now, with the weight off the hinge & the door secured you can remove the old door hinge & door closer parts & install the new parts in reverse order. Be sure to place all the spacers & door stop back in the original position. You can use a stubby screwdriver or small socket set to access the screws. I have included a link to our PartsDirect page where you can purchase the part you need to complete your repair.

Q:

How to replace the door gasket?

A:

You are correct; the gasket will fit in a groove in the liner. When you pull the original gasket off you will see the groove. The new gasket will have a ridge on the back of it. To replace the gasket just press it in place. The ridge can be tight but it will press in place. For more assistance you can resubmit your question with more details.
