Can you provide me with step by step instructions or photos? I have taken the two screws out that hold the auger tip and need to remove the large cover to expose the auger motor. What secures the large cover to the freezer door?

Q:

Refrigerator Ice Maker

A:

Thank you for choosing ManageMyLife.com. I understand how frustrating it can be when the ice maker does not make ice. Check the ice maker molder to make sure there is nothing stuck in it. Make sure the freezer is not overloaded and nothing is blocking the sensors. Please view images below to check sensor. Check for debris or frost on the fill tube. A frozen tube can be thawed with a hair dryer on low heat. Be sure to do this at a slow pace to not overheat and melt the tube. Clear the tube of debris if necessary. If you find that this is the case as to why your ice maker doesn't produce, and the problem persists after clearing the tubes, you may have to replace the tube and heater on the refrigerator.
