A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be more than happy to help with your water dispenser. Upon researching model KSRG25FKWH03; there is a switch the water dispenser lever activates. It could be the switch has failed in the on position. The switch could have got stuck in the on position. I linked a diagram below.

This can sometimes be a difficult failure to diagnose and repair on your own. If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears’s technician.

A:

I would open the freezer door and remove the ice bin from the door. Hold the plunger on the freezer door switch in while someone presses the ice cradle in to dispense ice. Watch the shaft in the door that would turn the auger to see if it turns. You will not be able to turn the shaft by hand.

If the shaft is not turning, a technician will need to test the voltage to determine if the auger motor or the control board in the dispenser has failed.

If the shaft turns, the drive coupling on the shaft or the other half of the coupling that is mounted on the bottom of the auger shaft might have failed.

You can see a parts diagram of these parts and their location at Parts Direct
