Q:

Dispenser KSBP25INSS00 Kitchenaid Counter depth refrigerator

A:

Thank You for contacting ManageMyLife.com

I understand your frustration when the ice and water dispencer stop working.  After researching your model, I show there has been a design change to the freezer door. When the door is shut it may not be fully trigger the door switch. Have someone press and hold in the door switch with the door open, while you try to fill a glass with water. If the water dispencer works then we know what the problem is and how to fix it. The part you would need to fix this issue is a plastic shim block. You would add the part to the freezer liner where it contacts the light/door switch. I have included a link to our PartsDirect page where you can purchase the part you need to complete your repair. Just click the blue link below to be taken to the page.

Thank you for your question. Removing this water filter housing is really not very difficult. First, disconnect the power from the unit and then close the water supply valve. Now, remove the bottom grill and the filter. There may be a wire attached to the front of the water housing that will now need to be removed. It's usually held in place with a 1/4" hex head screw. With the wire removed, now remove the two front 5/16" hex head screws, holding the filter housing and pull the housing forward. Disconnect the water tubes and be prepared to catch a small amount of water that may run out. I'm attaching an image below with information on how these water fittings work. The housing can now be removed and reverse the procedure to replace the new filter housing. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.
