Working on a TV can be difficult and dangerous due to the high voltage circuits inside. Always remember to unplug any TV before trying to service it and if unsure of the proper procedures, seek the service of a trained professional.

Hello Colby,

I'm sorry to hear that your television has malfunctioned and I would like to assist you.  The description of the issue wounds like a convergence failure.  I suggest contacting a local television repair center or following this link: Sears Home Services, to arrange an appointment with a Sears Television Technician.

There are dangerous currents within the cabinet of your television and I strongly suggest contacting an experienced television technician.

Please let me know if I may assist you further.

Hello, I always reach for the owner's manual and check the troubleshooting steps there first. I found the manual for your TV and attached the link below. I also see that someone else asked a similar question. Here is what the expert posted. Hope this helps!

You are on the right track. The convergence circuit has two amps, one or both could be bad. You are looking at swapping at most two of those amps, the IC8001, and a few fuses that may have opened when the circuit failed. The response linked was to one of my answers. I would still recommend having a technician performing this job and checking all the fuses.
