Putting the Kitchen Aid Pro 600 back together KP2671XMC

Thank you for contacting Sears PartsDirect.

Looking at your model, I do not see a pin holding the worm gear in place; it lays in the housing and meshes with the teeth of the other gears.  You may need to rotate the gear slightly to match up the teeth.

There is a pin that secures the worm follower gear to the planetary shaft.  If the planetary shaft has come loose from the housing, this could cause the worm follower gear to not sit correctly on the shaft.  If this is the case you will need to replace the planetary assembly.  Here is a link to Sears PartsDirect with an image of your mixer.

You may also be able to locate a video of how to replace the worm gear, worm follower gear, and planetary assembly (if needed) for your model number on the internet.

If you have any additional questions please resubmit them through Sears PartsDirect.

Thank you.
