I know that it can be very frustrating to have issues installing new filters. The charcoal filter will be installed behind the vent grill. There is a slotted space in this section, on top of the oven. You will need to look inside the vent in order to located the filter. You should be able to see the old ones in place. Dear AnneJ Thank you for your response. I've looked behind the vent grill again and there is no slotted space at all that I can find, let alone one that could fit the filter, unless I have to take the unit off the wall to find it. Do I need to take the unit off the wall? Attached is a picture of the space behind the vent grill, with the new filter sitting on top. The other photo is a picture of what it looks like inside there. There actually does not appear to be a path up into the vent. Could it be that I have a non-standard installation? Thanks, Doug
