A:

Error codes do warn of a possible problem but most of us have no further information. I was able to locate a previous post with a general response that may help while you wait for the expert to review this model. I attached below. According to your last response, you have already ordered that igniter. According to your symptoms, that should fix your problem. Be sure that you unplug the range before replacing that igniter. NOTE: I recommend that you also clean the gas ports in that burner around the igniter when you replace that component. You could have partially blocked holes in that burner that could be contributing to this problem. If you need more assistance, let us know.

Thank you for your question as to why the burner will not come on unless you tap the valve tubing.

Cool pictures.

It is one of two possible problems.

Either the igniter is weak and is not passing enough voltage to operate the gas safety valve or the safety valve itself is weak.

The most likly problem is the igniter being just a little weak even though it is bright orange in color.

The percentages is with the igniter being weak.

So I would suggest that you replace the igniter first.

The igniter is about half of the price of the safety valve.

The part number is: 5303935066 for about $65.00.

Igniter assembly .

I hope this will help and please let me know how if went.
