The lower burner in my oven turns off before set temperature is reached, why? KERC500HWH2 Kitchenaid Electric range

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com. I will be more than happy to assist you. I can understand any frustration you may have experienced with regards to your unit. Let’s see what we can do for you.

With this it could be the element, or the control panel. I would suggest replacing the heating element to see if there is any change. Some times over time these elements will wear out and would need to be replaced.

Hope this information has helped you. If you are not comfortable doing this repair you can click here to schedule a technician or call toll free 1-800-469-4663. Again, thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com.

Q:

need glass top replacement Kitchenaid KERC500HWHZ

A:

Thank you for being Sears’ valued member and for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your question about your KitchenAid range. I am so sorry the glass top needs to be replaced. I will be happy to help you with this but will need you to verify some information. The model number you provided (KERC500HWHZ) is not recognized. I believe the issue is the last character. KitchenAid shows these model numbers ending in a number, not a letter. Is it possible the “Z” is actually a “2”? If so, I have located the glass top for your range. The glass top on this model (KERC500HWH2) is available in two different colors. I have included the links for both.

Glass Cooktop (White) for KitchenAid Range Model KERC500HWH2

Glass Cooktop (Almond) for KitchenAid Range Model KERC500HWH2

If this is not the right model number for your range, please resubmit your question with the correct model number. I hope this answers your question. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.

A:

Yes, the last character of the model is 2, not Z. Thank you for your help.
