Q:

washer unbalanced 79629002000 Kenmore Elite Washing machine

A:

Thank you for being Sears’ valued member and for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your question about your Kenmore Elite washing machine model 79629002000. I am so sorry the washer will not stay balanced. I will be happy to help you with this.

Safety Warning: Disconnect the power supply to the washer before beginning this repair to prevent the risk of injury from electrical shock.

The bottom nut (part K300) should be tightened. The torque should be 200kgf/cm or 88 foot-pounds. Once the nut is tightened make sure the washer itself is level. Over time the washer may shift a little and one or more of the leveling legs may no longer have solid contact with the floor. Next check the suspension assemblies (part K100) for damage. If one suspension assembly is damaged you should replace all of them so that they wear evenly.

If you are not comfortable completing these steps yourself you can set up service at www.SearsHomeServices.com or by calling 1-800-469-4663. If the above checks do not resolve the issue, please resubmit your question with the model and serial number of the washer. I hope this answers your question. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.

Thanks for contacting ManageMyLife.com. I understand how frustrating it is having trouble with your washer leaking water. We are here to help. The main seal is part of the outer tub assembly. That is why the seal is not shown on the parts diagram. However, the outer tub is listed as a not serviceable part. That means the manufacture is not making or selling the part. The only solution is to purchase a new washer. I hope this helps.
