Q:

Owners Manual for Karcher Pressure Washer Model K2400HH

A:

The owners manual to an appliance is a great resource to have for any troubleshooting needs as well maintenance tips. While you are waiting for a detailed reply from an expert I recommend visiting the Sears parts direct website were you can view a full parts list and diagram of your model. I have provided the link below. Hope this helps!

Thank you Jerome for providing the link to the Owners Manual. I was also provided the link to the various parts in the assembly situation. However the parts diagram does not show the carberator or the ignition section. I have determined two things. A) There is no sspark going to the plug. B) There is a clear plastic tube coming out of the bottom of the carberator and not going to anything. Don't know if it's a drain tube or has been disconnected from another section. Since I don't have the parts break-down to the carberator section, I'm at a loss as to what the tube does. Any ideas?

Q:

power washer problem

A:

Be certain that there are not water leaks in the water hose or supply or it will act like it's doing.

When the pressure varies here are some common causes:

  1. Not enough inlet water supply: *Turn water on full force. Check garden hose for kinks, leaks or blockage.
  2. Pump is sucking air: *Check that hoses and fittings are air tight. Turn off machine and purge pump by squeezing trigger gun until a steady flow of water emerges through the nozzle.
  3. Water inlet filter is clogged: *Remove filter and rinse out in warm water.
  4. Discharge nozzle is obstructed: *Blow out or remove debris with a fine needle.
  5. Calcified gun, hose or spray wand: *Run distilled vinegar through detergent suction tube.
If this tips do not help, I recommend taking the pressure washer in for servicing. NOTE: I do not recommend taking the pump apart.
