Q:

How to remove the control panel JVM3670SF02 Ge Microwave

A:

Thank you for being Sears’ valued member and for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your question about your microwave. I am sorry you are having problems with it.  I understand wanting to repair the microwave yourself, but in this case, I recommend you have the microwave serviced by a qualified technician.

We do not give diagnostic or repair information on microwave ovens because they are inherently dangerous to service. Microwaves contain high voltage internal components that can retain a lethal electrical charge even when the microwave is unplugged from the power supply. Special equipment is needed to work on a microwave starting with an anti-static wrist strap grounded to the microwave to even test components in it. Even minor door repairs and adjustments can cause microwave leakage, and a microwave shielding leakage test MUST be performed using a survey meter after ANY/ALL microwave service.

For these safety reasons I strongly recommend having this repair completed by a qualified service technician. You can schedule service online at www.SearsHomeServices.com or by calling 1-800-4-MY-HOME (1-800-469-4663). Here at SearsPartsDirect.com we love to help you with your repairs, but our expert advice is that microwaves are just too dangerous for a do-it-yourself project.

Thank you for your understanding in this matter and I hope we can help you with any other questions and repairs in the future. Thank you for choosing Sears.

Q:

Microwave quit getting hot JVM3670SF02 Ge Microwave

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect. I know how much a time saver a microwave is and know you want to get it working quickly. In this case, I would suggest you have a qualified technician test and replace the unit.

Unfortunately, we cannot give advice on repairing the microwave because they contain high voltage internal components that can retain lethal electrical charge even when the microwave is off. So for safety reasons I would recommend having this repair done by a qualified technician. You can schedule service at 1-800-4My-HOME.

Thank you for your understanding on the situation. Have a great day.

Q:

I am trying to install a charcoal filter and I can't find the screws to remove to grill. JVM3670SF02 Ge Microwave

A:

Thank you for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your question about replacing the charcoal filter on your GE microwave. I will be happy to help you with this.

The screws you are looking for are on top of the grille. If you have a cabinet above the microwave you may need to open the cabinet doors to see the screws. There will be two screws. Once the screws are removed, you can slide the grille to the left a few inches and then you will be able to pull it off.

Once you have the grille out of the way, you will see that the filter sits at an angle. Lift the front of the old filter and then pull outward to remove it. To install the new filter slide it in straight at the top of the opening until fits in to the slot. Then pull the front of the filter down and pull the filter forward until it is in place. The replacement filter number is WB02X10733.

I hope this answers your questions. If you need further assistance, please resubmit your question with additional details. Thank you for choosing Sears. We appreciate your business.
