Question and Answers

Q:

How do I install a WB02X4267 (charcoal filter kit model JX81) on a GE JVM190001 microwave for non-venting? Manual does not indicate. GE JVM190001

A:

I can understand how important it is to have the right information for your microwave. This video, Replace Charcoal Filter, will show you how to remove and replace the filter in your model. It is for a different one, but the process is the same for your unit. I hope this helps. Please feel free to let me know if you need further assistance. We are always here to help. Q:

GE Micro JVM190001 Sound

A:

I am sorry you are experiencing difficulties with your Microwave. Microwaves contain high voltage internal components that can retain a lethal electrical charge even when the microwave is completely unplugged. Door repairs and adjustments, even minor ones, can cause microwave leakage and a microwave shielding leakage test must be performed using a survey meter after any microwave service. I strongly suggest that you have this repair handled only by a qualified service technician. I have provided a link To Sears Home Services if you decide to schedule service. If you think it may be cost effective to just replace the unit, I have also provided a link to the Microwave section of Sears.com to price out what a replacement would cost.

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

It could likely be done by someone who is experience in electronics but I wouldn't know of any service company that would do it.

I am sorry, but we do not give repair information on microwave ovens because they are inherently dangerous to service. Microwaves contain high voltage internal components that can retain a lethal electrical charge even when the microwave is completely unplugged.
