Q:

magnetron replacement JVM1750DM1WW Ge Microwave

A:

Thank you for being Sears’ valued member and for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your question about your Ge microwave model JVM1750DM1WW. I am so sorry the magnetron needs to be replaced. To find out the cost for a technician to complete this repair, you will need to contact our service department. You can set up service at www.SearsHomeServices.com or by calling 1-800-469-4663 (1-800-4MY-HOME).

I have included the link below for you to price and order the magnetron. It is best to have the part on hand for the technician to install. Because of the dangers associated with replacing a magnetron in a microwave, please do not attempt this repair yourself. The magnetron can retain enough electrical charge to be lethal, even when the microwave is unplugged.

I hope this answers your question. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.

Thanks for your feedback. Yes, i have gleaned through this picture link and the part is listed I think), but the description and photo are very sparse. Being that the part is "non refundable" I really want to make sure. The part manual has detailed screw dimensions, but the parts list diagram doesn't provide the size dimensions. Soooooo, this makes it hard to verify for the old apples to apples comparison. I just hate to get screwed (nuk nuk)! Reb.

The part WB01X100180 is the machine screw that attaches the top of the microwave to the bottom of the cabinet above the microwave. A photograph of this part from the RepairClinic.com website is shown in the second image below. The first image below is from the installation guide for this microwave. It shows the specifications for the machine screw. If you are able to find a machine screw with these specifications at your local hardware store, you can replace the screws quicker and likely for less money.

Here is a link for the full installation guide in case you need it: Installation Instructions

If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will assist you further.
