Q:

grille vent installation JVM1542BF002

A:

Thank you for your inquiry on your GE Microwave, Model: JVM1542BF002. I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with the microwave. I certainly do apologize but we do not give advice on repairing microwaves because they are inherently dangerous to service. Microwave contains high voltage internal components that can retain lethal electrical charge even when the microwave is unplugged from the outlet. You need special equipment to work on a microwave to even test components in it. Even minor door repairs and adjustments can cause microwave leakage, and a microwave shielding leakage test MUST be performed using a survey meter after any microwave service.

Thank you for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com, and have yourself a wonderful day

Q:

I have a GE Profile OTR microwave oven that is not heating correctly and the turntable is not turning

Microwaves contain high-voltage components that can retain a lethal electrical charge of up to 2200 VAC -- even when the microwave is unplugged. Repairs and adjustments, even minor ones such as , can cause microwave leakage. A microwave shielding leakage test should be performed after any microwave service. It is for these safety reasons that we are unable to guide you in microwave repairs and instead recommend scheduling service with a qualified service technician. You can schedule service online with Sears Home Services or by calling 1-800-4-MY-HOME. We thank you for your understanding in this matter and hope we can help you with other questions and repairs in the future. Below is a link to setup service.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

I am sorry, but we do not give repair information on microwave ovens because they are inherently dangerous to service. Microwaves contain high voltage internal components that can retain a lethal electrical charge even when the microwave is completely unplugged. Door repairs and adjustments, even minor ones, can cause microwave leakage, and a microwave shielding leakage test must be performed using a survey meter after any microwave service. That's why I strongly warn you to have this repair handled only by a qualified service technician. You can schedule service online with Sears Home Services or by calling 1-800-4-MY-HOME.

Normally at ManageMyLife.com we like to help you with all of your repairs, but our expert advice is that microwaves are just too dangerous.
