Ron, thanks for the advice. I am going to pull a drawing of the control panel down from the GE website to get additional detail into your post. This range has not been installed as of yet so I have the freedom to work without power issues. The part should come in today and once I see where the screws fit into the new cook top it should be helpful. Any other advice would be greatly appreciated. RI

Thanks Ron, I have that one. It looks like to me you remove the control knobs and there are 1/4" hex bolts inside the top of the oven that will have to come out. I will keep you posted and appreciate your prompt response. RI

Ron, I got the glass top replaced. When i was taking the control panel off I found a copy of the instructions you sent taped to the inside of the range. I am assuming that if you did not take the panel off that paper would not be a fire hazard? Anyway, after unhooking the harnesses and putting the burners in the new top it looks to be working just fine. Thanks again for your assistance RI
