Thank you for your question and I understand your concern. The automatic door locking mechanism may not have been able to release the door due to friction between the door catch and door lock. It may have released by pushing inwards on the door a little or it could have a faulty door locking mechanism.

Next time push in slightly on the door in order to reduce friction between the door latch and the door lock and it will likely unlock.

It may need a new door motor if it continues to make a buzzing noise and not release the door. I recommend calling and having a service technician diagnose and repair your range.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
