DISASSEMBLY 
1. Remove the control knobs (woktop). 
2. Remove the screws securing the burner bowls to 
the burner. 
3. Remove the electrode wire from the electrode. 
4. Glass top- Lift glass off the appliance. 
Porcelain top-Lift up top (hinged at rear).

Thank you for your question.  I am sorry your are having a problem with your GE JGP336bev2bb cooktop. 

From the description of the problem I suspect  one of the surface switches is bad.  Notice the wiring diagram below shows the circuit to the ignitors.  All it would take is for one switch to be bad. 

If the Yellow wire is removed from the spark module and the sparking quits then one of the switches is bad.  The switches can be checked with a meter.

Caution: Before attempting any repair, turn the power to the cooktop off first.

From the problem and description you give I suspect the problem is with the spark module.

The WB13K25 spark module is located behind the backguard. The images below may be helpful to you. Remember to turn the power to the range off first.

If you have some basic tools this can be a good do-it-yourself project.
