Q:

If the left two burners on a jenn air cooktop won't stop sparking, do i replace the spark module or the left igniter switch

A:

I think we all get a little frustrated when an appliance we depend on starts acting up on us. I'm sorry to hear that you are having some issues with your Jenn-air cook top. I did some research at Managemylife website and found an expert answer to a similar question that may help until your expert can respond. I have attached the link below so you can check it out. I hope this will shed a little light on this repair. Pardon the pun.

Thanks for the Response! Somewhat similar but not helpful. My burners light everytime but the igniter will not shutoff on the left two burners. It is a new unit and definately an electrical problem. Their is a spark module to control all the burners and two igniter switches. One to control the left side and one to control the right. Should I replace the left igniter switch or the spark module, or both?

Thank you for submitting your question. I recommend cleaning the burners first to see if it makes a difference. If this does not help, then I recommend replacing the switch. If the rest of the burners won't spark then replace the spark module. You can order parts from the manufacture [Jenn-Air|http://www.jennair.com/flash.cmd?/#/page/customerservice/]. I hope this information helps. Please reply back to this thread if you require further assistance. Thank you for using Manage My Life.
