There are no instructions for replacing the oven insulation.

You should be able to replace the insulation yourself. Begin by disconnecting the power to the range.

  • Remove the rear panel of the range.

  • Remove all the old insulation you can. If portions of the old insulation are covered by the new insulation, it will be ok.

  • Note how the original insulation is placed. The wires in the range must go behind the insulation. You might have to disconnect some wires, put the insulation in place and reconnect them. If the wires touch the oven cavity, they will melt and short out.

  • The insulation should be uniform in thickness and no portion of the oven cavity should be exposed.
