Question and Answers

Q:

Converting to LP JGBP80WEH1WW Ge Gas range

A:

Thank you for your inquiry on your Kenmore Refrigerator, Model: WR30X259. From reviewing the details on your model, It appears that the oven burners do not have an orifice what you would do is take the cover off the gas valve, there’s a plunger that will have to be removed and flipped for conversion. the repair has to be handled by either your local gas company or a professional authorized to work with gas repairs.

I hope this answered your question. Thank you for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com, and have yourself a wonderful day.

Q:

Conversion of Stove from NG to LP JGBP80WEH1WW / Serial No. TF268424P

A:

Thank you for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your question about the conversion kit for your GE Range. I apologize my previous answer was not clear. The part number WB28K10557 is the LP conversion kit for your model. It will include all the orifices needed to convert the surface burners to LP. It will also have instructions on how to convert the oven. The conversion needs to be completed by a technician trained in gas conversions.

I hope this clarifies my answer. If you need further assistance, please let me know. Thank you again for choosing Sears.

Q:

Gas Conversion to LP JGBP80WEH1WW Ge Gas range

A:

Thank you for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your question about a LP conversion kit for your GE Gas range. I will be happy to help you with this. I have included the blue link below for you to order the kit.

Once you have received the kit, it needs to be installed by a qualified technician. The surface burners use orifices to adjust the gas pressure, but the parts in the oven have to be adjusted manually. That should be done by a trained technician. (Some states even require it by law.) I recommend contacting your gas company. If they do not provide this service, they can normally tell you how to find a technician in your area.

I hope this answers your questions. If you need further assistance, please resubmit your question with additional details. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.
