Replacing some parts can be a little difficult. The information you have already received is correct. First, disconnect power to the range. The simplest way to access, this igniter will be to remove the oven bottom. Now, with the bottom out you will see the flame spreader (# 219 in picture). Remove the screw holding it in place and you will see the igniter and burner. The igniter screws to the burner and has 2 wires that connect to the safety valve. Disconnect the wires and remove the screws holding the igniter in place. Reverse the procedure to install the new igniter. I hope this helps you. If you would like more assistance, any additional details will be helpful. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Safety Notice: Be sure to disconnect the appliance before performing any troubleshooting procedures.
