I know it's frustrating when the oven stops working. This can be a defective spark module or control board. It would be very unlikely that both the bake and broil igniter would go out at the same time. A voltage check will need to be made to determine, which part has failed. If both show that they are working properly then I believe the problem is with the control board itself. NOTE: I do not recommend making any voltage measurements unless you have experience and feel safe and confident in doing so, otherwise I strongly suggest calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your range.

Bake and Broil Ignitor for Model JGBP28SEK2SS

Oven Control for Model JGBP28SEK2SS

Keep in mind there are two ignitors, one for bake and one for broil. If both are needed then remember to order two.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

The door gasket has a lip on it that is tucked behind the inner door panel and the panel inside the door. To replace the door gasket, you must take the door apart. If you will go to Parts Direct you can see the parts diagram of the door. This will help you in taking the door apart.

You need to remove the oven door from the range and place it handle down on a padded surface. To remove the oven door, open the door to the broil stop, place your hands on the sides of the door, (don't lift with the door handle) and lift the door off the hinges.

Mark the location of the ends of the gasket so you can put the new gasket in the same location as the old. Remove all visable screws from the oven door and lift the inner panel off the door. You can replace the door gasket now.
