If the igniter is not working, gas will not be allowed through. If it doesn't glow at all, the problem could be a defective control or the igniter itself. If you feel confident with your repair skills, the igniter is easy to check. Remove the bottom of the oven and it will be easy to get to the igniter and burner assembly or you can pull the bottom drawer out. Disconnect power to the range and now disconnect the igniter wire leads. Check the resistance of the igniter now. If you get a reading, the igniter is ok. If you get no reading, the igniter will need to be replaced. If the igniter is ok but it doesn't glow at all, the timer will probably need to be replaced. If the igniter does glow but it doesn't light the burner, the igniter could still be defective or the safety valve may have failed. An amp reading of the igniter would be needed, to determine the problem. A technician may be needed to make this check. If you need more assistance, additional details will be needed.
