Thank you for you question on the locked door on the range. Because this is a gas range and the process needed to get the door unlocked will require disassembling gas lines under the cook top we recommend that you have s qualified technician do the repair.

If you feel comfortable after reading the process below then I can help you further will this problem.

First REMOVE POWER TO THE RANGE.

I order to unlock a stuck lock mechanism you will need to lift up the top on the range and this will first require you to remove the burner heads for the cook top of the range.

NOTE! Be very careful as to not damage any of the gas burner supply tubing under the top.

Once you have then removed you can use a putty knife type tool to push in the spring clips between the cook top and the body and lift up.

Once you have the top up you will see a rectangular box in the front of the burner box and you will need to remove to get to the door lock mechanism.

Once you have this remove you will need to disconnect the linkage for the lock arm and release the door.

Once you have the door open please examine the switches and to see if one of them has failed and what you will need to replace to get the door lock working again.

Please let me know what you would like to do and if you feel comfortable getting the door unlocked.

Thank you for the update on the range oven door lock. Open the oven door and push and hold the door light button and at the same time with your other hand put the oven in self-clean mode and then cancel the mode. If the control will not respond to any commands the control has failed and will need to be replaced. Please let me know what you find out. Sam A.
