Question and Answers

Q:

cleaning jenn air oven JES9800AAW

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears and for your quick response. I am so sorry you are having difficulty setting the self-clean feature. I will be happy to help you with this.

Since you have pressed the “clean” pad previously, the oven may be set for a delayed clean. I recommend you cancel the programming and start fresh. To do this press the “cancel” pad. Next open and close the door. If the LOC is displayed, it is still in the self-clean mode. Do not force the door if the LOC is on. If the LOC doesn’t clear, you may need to turn the range off at the breaker. Leave it off for about 5 minutes. Some control boards need that long to reset.

Once you have cleared any programming try setting the self-clean again. It is important that you press the “clean” pad only once, otherwise it will go into the delayed mode again. Next, press the “auto set” pad for 3 hours of cleaning. If you prefer 4 hours of cleaning press the “auto set” again. If you rather have 2 hours press it a third time. After you have pressed the “auto set” the CLEANING and LOC should be displayed along with the cleaning time.

I hope this answers your question. Thank you again for choosing Sears.
