I posted a procedure for removing and replacing that glass panel in the image below. Be sure that you shut off the house circuit breakers for the range before beginning that procedure.

This information should help you complete that repair. If you need more assistance, reply with additional details.

Thanks...I will try this once the new piece arrives...the replacement piece came shatter and had to get a new one. Do you know of any videos out there that may help...I unscrewed the screws from the plenum area but the top is still pretty snug on there...where are the element mounting brackets?

There is not a video for that repair that I am aware of. You should have found screws on the side of the main top assembly. There should also be screws under the front control panel. You will need to lift the top off of the range before you can get to the element mounting brackets under the glass cooktop. I recommend that you refer to the parts list diagram. That may help you see the components and the fasteners that secure that main top to the frame of the range.

That infinite switch should have come with the instruction sheet that is shown in the first image below. I provided a wiring schematic and a wiring diagram for your range in the second and third images. Those diagrams should reflect the original wiring connections on your infinite switch. The 4th image shows how to access that switch. That information may help you wire up that replacement switch. If you need more help, reply with additional details (which dual burner switch you are replacing and the markings on the original switch).

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician install that new switch, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services .
