Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with removing the water filter. I have a few filters that were difficult to remove. The reason is the o-rings on the end of the filter get dry and stick. To remove the stubborn filters support the filter receptacle with one hand so it does not break. Then turn the filter with the other hand. If you can not get it to budge you can use a strap wrench or slip joint pliers to loosen it. Just make sure to keep the receptacle supported. Once it is removed and you are ready to install the new filter put a little Vaseline on the o-rings. This will help in the future when it is time to replace it again.
