Thank you for your question. I can understand your concern about the cabinet and electrical current. Did a certified trained technician, replace the compressor? Replacing a compressor is a very precise repair and if it�s not done correctly, the compressor will burn out and the system will become contaminated. Now, for the current problem, make sure the polarity is correct from the wall outlet. The small terminal should be the hot wire and the large terminal should be common. If the polarity is reversed, it can cause this type of problem. Also make sure this outlet has a good ground. If these checks are good, it will indicate a short in the wiring in the cabinet. It can be very difficult to locate this type of problem and if it's determined to be inside the cabinet, it will not be repairable. I strongly recommend having a technician make this check.
