Question and Answers

Q:

breaker tripping JBP24GW1 Ge Electric range

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be more than happy to help with your range. Upon researching model JBP24GW1; I recommend disconnecting the power cord and removing and testing the bake and broil elements for continuity to see if they are shorted. Also if it trips immediately when the range is plugged in then a wire or component is likely shorted directly to ground. If it takes a while to trip the breaker then it could have a loose wire connection anywhere between the circuit breaker and range.

I trust this information will help you, have a great day.
