Q:

Dryer won't heat up

A:

With the dryer not heating can be frustrating as well can cause quite a delay in your laundry time. After researching the Manage MY Life website I have located several links similar to your issue. While you are waiting for a detailed reply from an expert I have provided the links below. If you do decide to have a technician diagnose and make repairs, an option is to visit Sears Home Services and use the handy scheduler.,which I have also added the link below. Hope this helps!

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

You did not make it clear if the igniter is glowing or not. The igniter must receive 120 volts and it must glow. If it's not glowing and the igniter tests Okay, one of the components in the circuit is faulty. If the igniter is glowing constantly and not turning off, the contacts inside the flame sensor is stuck/welded shut. The igniter is supposed glow super red hot and then the flame sensor opens/breaks the circuit and the solenoid coils should open the gas valve as the igniter is fading off. If the igniter is glowing and fading off without burner ignition, the solenoid coils on the gas valve will need to be replaced.

I added three images below to reference.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Joey: Awesome, thanks. That is just what I was looking for. Only one question. My dryer does not have a lower access panel, only one solid front panel. Is there a safe way to see if the igniter is glowing, or is this not possible with my dryer. To access the burner assembly I must take off the front and remove the drum. Thanks again and thanks for the images. Thad
