Thank you for your question. I can understand your concern about the fan motor. The evaporator fan motor in this model operates on dc voltage. This means that by reversing the wires to this type of motor, it will run in the opposite direction. I hope this will help you.

There are four wires. Which wires do you reverse? Red, yelllow, white and blue are the colors?

A:

The wire colors you are describing show to be going to the damper. The wires to the evaporator motor are listed as follows: 1. Blk/Wh 2. Wh/Vio 3. Blk/Gr 4. Or/Vio In this case the Blk/Wh and Blk/Gr wires would need to be reversed. This is a very complex refrigerator and I strongly recommend having a technician check and make this repair.

Scott D Take a look at Appliance Parts Depot web page. When entering the site, enter the part number 67003241. When the picture is shown, double click the picture to enlarge. Take a look at the second view of the part. This is the exact part with the same color of wires on my original part as well as the new one. I am not sure which two wires will need to be reversed. I will have to cross splice the two wires since the wires will not come out of the plug. I tried pulling them out of the old part. Any thoughts??

You are correct, the part number listed does show to be the correct part. If it is the exact same part with the color of the wires you have listed, I strongly recommend having a technician check this before reversing any wires. In a DC powered motor, reversing the polarity of the wires is how the rotation of the motor is reversed. However, in a direct connection like this, with the exact same part, I would not recommend reversing any wires. I'm attaching the complete wire diagram in the first image. The second image shows the JP7 connection with the wires to the fan motor and damper. As you can see the wire colors listed above go to the damper. You can call 1-800-469-4663 to schedule a tech to come out.

Scott D Thanks. I have contacted a service rep. It is not easy to find someone to work on a Dacor.
