Thank you for contacting ManageMyLife.com regarding the E0F2 error code on your Whirlpool oven with microwave. I'm happy to help you today. The E0F2 error code indicates a stuck or shorted keypad. You can try resetting the unit by disconnecting it from the outlet or by switching off the designated home circuit breaker for 2-3 minute, then restore the power. If the reset doesn't work, more than likely the key pad/switch membrane will need to be replaced. The part number will vary depending on the color of your model.

Black- W10161679

White- 8303949

Silver- 8304152

I apologize, but we do not give repair information on microwave ovens because they are inherently dangerous to service. Microwaves contain high voltage internal components that can retain a lethal electrical charge even when the microwave is completely unplugged. Door repairs and adjustments, even minor ones, can cause microwave leakage, and a microwave shielding leakage test MUST be performed using a survey meter after any microwave service. It is for these safety reasons that I strongly recommend having this repair handled only by a qualified service technician. You can schedule service online with Sears Home Services or by calling 1-800-4-MY-HOME.

I really hope this information helps you today. Thank you for using ManageMyLife.com.

Those buttons should be pressed in that sequence provided. Press the first button and release it, then the next button and so on. You don't have to continue to hold the buttons down. I understand your concern about the time limitation after the oven is powered up. You may need to have someone else reset the breaker to restore power to the oven while you are standing in front of the oven. That way you can begin that programming sequence once the control powers up. Once you press those buttons and see the "id 30" you can then press the clock pad until the correct size is displayed (it looks like you have a 24" oven). Press the Cancel button to set that correct size.

I hope that this additional information helps. If you need more assistance, let us know.

Thanks again to those who responded with very helpful information, one further question (I did post earlier) is to do with the settings for the oven cavity, The instructions list a number of tabs you must push in a short 60 second period after applying power (closing the remote located circuit breaker), is that and the specified sequence for pushing the tabs critical?

Ramond: Step 5 states to Press and hold LOWER OFF pad for 5 seconds to verify programming. See steps below. If you do not have a Cancel key pad then does it have a Stop key pad? If not then I must assume the OFF key will need to be pushed. Programming the Cavity Size: *When replacing the electronic control, be sure to program the cavity size: 1. Within 60 seconds of power up, press the following touchpads: LOWER OFF, UPPER OVEN, BAKE, TEMP DOWN, TIMER OFF, MINUTE DOWN, START, LIGHT. 2. Size is shown in display - id 30. 3. Press CLOCK pad until correct size is displayed. 4. Press CANCEL. 5. Press and hold LOWER OFF pad for 5 seconds to verify programming. The service manual also has oven cavity sizing instructions I provided in my first response under the "Important Note" at the end of the instructions but I would follow the instructions provided with the new oven control board. Usually you will have to select one of the wire leads and connect the tan wire to the orange wire for 27 inch models or connect the tan wire to yellow for the 30 inch models.

Thanks again for the prompt reply, I incorrectly said step 5. It should be step 4. "press cancel", as mentioned there is no cancel tab, there is: :"upper off", and "lower off" (two separate tabs), I have not yet received the new control board, I am just in the process of trying understand what I have to do to instal it.. So the question is which off tab either or both, or does it matter which ones?

Ramond: I would have to say to press the OFF pad for the lower oven for 5 seconds to verify programning. The new control board should come with the proper procedure for setting the oven cavity size.
