Hi Michael,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life. I know how frustrating it can be when appliances do not function properly.

It is unlikely that several units have the same mechanical failure. Since several of the dishwashers are doing the same thing I would suspect an issue with the way the drain lines were set up. Here is a link to the Installation Guide for this dishwasher. It is likely that if the drain loop or air gap is not correct, the units may be siphoning water back in.

Check the drain lines per the installation guide, and If I may be of further assistance, please reply to this post as more details become available.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Here is a link that you may use to view the parts list diagram and for parts purchases; Sears Parts Direct .

Thanks again for using Manage My Life.

Thank you Landell for your response. I think we have remedied the problem. I removed the ball in the back flow preventer and clean them off as well as the rest of the assembly and had the tenants run them several times. So far it appears to be working. I will however check the drain lines in the event of another problem. Thanks again.

Michael, Some of the smell may be coming from the hose or the garbage disposal as well. Give them both a look and clean them as well as you can. If you need further assistance, just let me know. Landell
