By not producing air, I'm sure if you mean it's not producing cold air or if it's not blowing air at all. A loud vibrating noise could be from the fan blade or blower wheel, the motor or maybe a loose cabinet frame. I recommend having a technician check it. Thank you Salina L. and Scott D. for your opinions and assistance. I did end up calling out a technician. Unfortunately, he advised that the compressor was shot and had to be changed out. The upside of that is it was still under manufacturer warranty (only four days left). The flip side was, I still had to pay labor charges ($912.00). Now, I'm just waiting on them to deliver it. Unfortunately, it had to be ordered and it's taking almost two weeks. Bad time to be w/o air conditioning in the D.C. area!
